Description

During the first year of Agenticus, the costs and expenses were covered by the personal income of its founder Fernando Rodriguez. This approach worked for implementing the first projects of Agenticus, however it was not sustainable when trying to work on bigger and more impactful projects. After a few-months pause in which we discussed and evaluated how to make Agenticus economically self-sustainable, we finally decided to use data and AI to generate income. That is how ML Trader was born. The ultimate goal of this project is training ML models that make predictions about the future price of financial assets in order to generate capital gains that will be used to finance Agenticus’ social projects. There is uncertainty whether this idea will work, yet it is the best one we figured out to solve the sustainability issue while keeping focused on our core: Data & AI. Only time will tell, and despite the results, we are sure we will find a way to keep Agenticus operating and growing because we are passionate about helping society benefit from the changes brought by the advancement of Data and Artificial Intelligence.

The firs stage is gathering data; therefore we have a GCP Virtual Machine that is daily downloading market date of a stock screener and storing the data in a GCP Bucket. We will continue developing and updating the project’s status; and of course, in line with our open source mindset, we are sharing the code in the GitHub repository.

First step achieved: automaticly gathering daily stock market data into GCP Buckets.
