Description
In 2024, we carried out three projects aimed at spreading knowledge: First, we launched our YouTube channel. Then, we collaborated with GDS on their pilot program. Finally, we implemented Data Analytics for Management Students.
In all these initiatives, our volunteers acted as teachers and mentors.
But this time, with Agenticus Scholarships, we are taking a step further — not only by teaching, but also by funding education through monetary scholarships for public university students.
Each scholarship can be used for any of the following purposes:
- Enrollment in a Data or AI-related course.
- Subscription to DataCamp.
- Payment of a university fee (this purpose is allowed only for students of Statistics, Data Science, Software Engineering, or any career related to Data & AI).
How it Works
This project is directly linked to ML Trader, our machine-learning-based trading platform, which is designed to generate sustainable funding for our scholarships and other Agenticus projects.
Here’s how this scholarships program works:
- Using our ML predictions, we identify a trading opportunity and buy the stock.
- We post the operation details on our social media — including stock ticker, price, date, amount, time window, target profit, and target scholarship amount.
- If the stock reaches the target profit (or a nearby price) within the time window, we close the position.
- We announce the successful trade and confirm the scholarship amount publicly.
- Our partner NGO GDS opens the call for applications and selects the scholarship recipient — a public university student.
- One of our volunteers provides a 1-on-1 career mentorship session to the scholar.
- We coordinate with the student to disburse the scholarship according to the approved uses.
- Finally, our volunteer offers a follow-up mentorship session six months later.
Next Steps
We have already collected enough data to train our initial ML models. Our next step is to begin the training phase of ML Trader. In the coming weeks, we will start making predictions and posting our scholarship-funding operations — turning data and AI into opportunities for students who need them most.
